How I helped a bride realize her design idea

Bridal alterations are a collaborative process. This bride wanted more coverage at the shoulders and chest, and had a redesign in mind. We used the extra lace from the detachable shoulder covers that came with the dress, to create attached flutter sleeves. The neck drop was also filled in with parts of the lace, and the process was more art than technique - cutting, arranging and hand stitching.
